A massive crowd is expected to show for the finals of the Ministry of Sport/Lucozade Sport Don Miguel Night Windball Cricket series which, takes place on Saturday,at St. Georges College Recreation Ground, 6th Avenue, Barataria.
Prior to this match the division one finals will take place and Ranga XI will comes up against AS II. The women section which has been very popular will see Barataria Ball Players vying for the title against Cricket Lovers.
League organiser Inshan Ali says that the crowd has grown to even bigger proportions this year and Saturday night will be one of the biggest expected in the history of the tournament.
According to Ali : "This tournament has been very popular through the years and when we think it cannot grow to greater heights we are pleasantly surprised. We have had some excellent matches this season and everyone who has turned up has enjoyed what we have on offer.
"It is so refreshing to see so many people turning up and taking part in something that is clean and positive and I want to thank all of those responsible for making this one of the best leagues in the country. Without people like the Gold Sponsor - Ministry of Sport, Silver Sponsor Lucozade Sport and Bronze Sponsor Tiger Pro Windballs, this series would not have been possible.
They have the confidence in us to invest in our idea and we are returning that fate in us by serving the people here very well."
