Action in the F&E Diamond United hosted T20 Tournament known as the (DPL) continued over the weekend with teams showing form as places for the playoffs nears. In Group B Pills & Beyond Super Kings came up against Cellar placed Juice Crew. Super Kings won the toss and choose to bat first and amassed 153 for four in their allotted 20 overs led by fine knocks of 53 from Alvarado Bryce and 35 from Ranga Latchana. In reply Juice Crew was humbled for 92 all out in 18.1 overs with Both of Super Kings Left Arm spinners doing the damage Damien Binwah taking three wickets for 12 runs in three wickets for 16 runs in three overs. P&B Super kings won by 61 runs. 

 

SJ Rapids back to full strength with regular starters Evin Lewis and Nicolas Sookdeosingh returning came up against La Romain United. SJ Rapids won the toss and choose to bat first and amassed 205 for eight in their allotted 20 overs with Timmy Subnaik Top scoring with 46. He was ably supported by Nicolas Sookdeosingh 40 and Evin Lewis 21 with Brandon Bohla picking up 2/19 in two overs. La Romain was humbled for 140 all out in 18 overs with Suresh Sookdeosingh (father of Powergen opening batsman Nicolas Sookdeosingh) picking up three wickets for 28 runs in four overs. SJ Rapids won by 65 runs. 

 

In Group A Tarouba Sports with the Inclusion of Powergen Sports Club Captain Gregory Mahabir in their line up came up against Destiny 11 in a match reduced to 15 overs per side. Tarouba Sports won the toss and batting first posted a challenging 146-6 in 15 overs with contributions from Shiva Dookie 54 and Ryan Oudit 29, Marcelle Jones picked up 2/17 in two overs. In reply Destiny 11 was only able to reach 129 for five in their allotted 15 overs. Marcelle Jones was the only Batman to reach double figures scoring 92 not out. Gregory Mahabir was the pick of the bowlers claiming 3/17 from three overs. Tarouba won by 17 runs.

 

 

Summarized Scores: Claxton Bay 117 for seven in 15 overs H Goomansingh 24, G. Ramnarine 23, K Rambaran 2/17 in two overs vs Young Bloods 55 all out in 12.2 overs Dianand Rambaran 4/6 in three overs. Claxton Bay won by 62 runs. 

Potential SC 167-8 in 20 Overs M. Smith 34, Dane Teelucksingh 25, B. Pegus 2/32 vs Strikers SC 97 all out in 13.3 overs, D. Teelucksingh 3/15, in 3.3 overs, R. Gajadhar 3/3 in two overs. Potential won by 70 runs. 

Young Bloods 75 all out in 18.5 overs G Ramnarine 20, Enil Ryan 5/2 (5 Wickets two runs) in 3.5 overs, VS Longdenville Touring Team 78-2 in 14.2 overs Zaheer Ali 25, Enil Ryan 22 not out. Longdenville TT won by eight wickets.
