Bravo: Team working like a business
Red Steel captain Dwayne Bravo says the arrangement to have Brian Lara and Sanath Jayasuriya is working more like a business for his team. According to the allrounder: “We have chats about different things and before we go into games we get together and discuss all aspects and take from it. We have different people giving their views and then we take it out there like a business. I am very happy to have these guys in the backroom staff and it is working very well for us.” Bravo added that having Mahela Jayawardene around is a huge plus.
“He is one of the better players in the world and to have him in our side is great. He gives us that added insurance just being there for us, plus he is helping out a lot with his vast experience in leadership and planning.” Looking ahead to today’s game against Jamaica, Bravo was confident saying: “We have gotten three wins in a row and this gives us confidence going into the match. It is another final for us and that is how we are approaching each game as we move forward. We are confident, we have one of the better balanced sides in the tournament and once we get into the semifinals we have the team to go all the way.” Red Steel will come up against Tallawahs from 2 pm (3 pm TT time) at Sabina Park today, in their final preliminary round match.
