Club Sando looks for success against Bethel
Unbeaten league high flier Club Sando will have the opportunity to go clear at the top of the blink/bmobile National Super League table today when the club travels to Montgomery Recreation Ground, Tobago, to face third-from-bottom Bethel United, in Match Day Nine, from 4 pm. All six fixtures are carded to kick off the same time. With joint leader Guaya United on a bye, Club Sando, which is unbeaten with seven wins and one draw in eight matches thus far, will go clear at the top with a point in its trip to the sister isle.
Both teams in today’s feature fixture are off contrasting results, with the league leader taking the more favourable of the two a week ago. Led by braces through the league’s leading goal scorer Teba McKnight and Andy London, Club Sando thrashed FC Santa Rosa 4-0 at home, while Bethel, which was also at home succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Real Maracas. With a match in hand, Westside will need a win to keep in pace with the current third placed team—Malabar FC, which sits on 15 points, seven behind Club Sando and Guaya. Malabar will take on mid-table Real Maracas at UTT Ground, O’Meara.
