National cyclist Emile Abraham stormed into the lead of the Tour of T&T Independence Classic after winning the Pace and Gas Circuit Race (stage two) in Point Fortin on Thursday night.After finishing fifth in stage one on Wednesday in the Dash Circuit Race at King George V Park, Abraham bounced back with a clinical performance on Thursday to win the race. Abraham, representing the Team Predator Carbon Repair club, finished ahead of Guyana's Geron Williams, while another national cyclist, Gevan Samuel, rounded off the top three. The other T&T cyclists to finish in the top ten were Joshua Alexander (5th) and Adam Alexander (7th).On Wednesday, Barbadian Jason Perryman won the Dash Circuit Race, ahead of American Calixto Bello and Williams. Fifty-two-year-old veteran national cyclist Gene "Geronimo" Samuel is in 12th place.The Speed and Steel Circuit Race, was scheduled for last night in San Fernando.
