The deciding match in the final of the Hoop of Life Community Basketball League between La Romaine and Maloney will be played on Sunday at the Maloney Basketball Court, from 7.30 pm.

La Romaine kept in the hunt for the title after winning the second match 76–66 on Wednesday night, following their loss in the opening encounter on Monday night which ended 86–77.

Boxill enjoyed three three-point baskets, as his team strived on the cheers and vocal support of over 2,000 supporters. La Romaine ended the half with a 31–23 advantage.
However, Maloney, guided by former national women’s coach Christopher Jackson Charles, engineered a third quarter comeback behind the talent of national forward Kenyatta Alfred, who drilled three of his five long-range shots from behind the arc, and centre Shawn Lawrence, who added eight of his 20 points in the stanza that gave them a 55-47 lead, which stunned the home fans.
In the fourth and final session La Romaine went on a 29–11 rampage with Boxill connecting on 21 points as Maloney showed its had no answer to his dribbling and shooting skills.
Boxill was supported by guard-forward Adrian Joseph, who scored 12 points of which seven came in the fourth quarter. For Maloney, Alfred finished with 18.
It is the first time the finals will be decided after three matches.
