For the first time in history, of the Atlantic Primary School Football League, an Under-11 national champion will be crowned.
Over past months schools have been vying for the the position of zonal champion while also aspiring to be one of the eight champion schools of the Education Districts of T&T.
From some 500 teams which competed in the inaugural U-11 boys competition throughout T&T, the top eight teams are now set to battle today for football supremacy.
Some of the top U-11 teams include Tobago's Bon Accord Government, Victoria's San Fernando Boys RC, Port-of-Spain's Sacred Heart Boy's RC, South Eastern champion, Moruga Boys RC, North Eastern victor, and Sangre Grande Government.
The new division for boys will see Bon Accord Government at home to the champion of Victoria, San Fernando Boys RC, at Shaw Park in Tobago, beginning at 10 am, today.
In Port-of-Spain at the Halsey Crawford Stadium, Sacred Heart Boys RC will play host to Moruga RC in what is expected to be a very competitive game. This match also begins at 10 am.
The North Eastern U-11 champion, Sangre Grande will take on the winner of the Caroni Education District, Carapichaima RC at the Arima Velodrome at 10 am before the U-11 champion of St Patrick, Siparia Boys RC, meets the winner of the East St George Tunapuna Boys RC at 11 am.
