T&T midfielder Andre Boucaud came in for praise from Notts County manager Shaun Derry for his performance in the club's 4-0 victory over Colchester in English League One action on the weekend.
Boucaud set up his team's fourth item but from all accounts, marshaled his team's midfield and put in an impressive performance while playing an attacking role for County.
Derry said the Magpies have set themselves new standards, and singled Boucaud out for special praise.
"I've never seen Boucaud play like that, he needs to go and replicate those performances every week because the lad really has ability," said Derry.
"I thought the back four were fantastic, [captain Gary Liddle was sound in the middle of the park and the forward four were very inventive."
Boucaud himself is enjoying his current season with the club, saying: "I'm just playing my football and working hard at the same time. I've set myself some goals for this season and it's always good to be in the squad and getting games under my belt. It's not always easy but you've got to put the effort in and do your best at all times."
Boucaud has been one of the consistent performers for T&T in its international matches this year.
Lipscomb University hosts T&T camp
The Lipscomb University men's football team of the United States is currently on an off season camp in T&T and have been totally blown away by their experience so far on the island.
The team arrived on the weekend and player Scout Monteith was overly excited about the trip.
"The anticipation for this trip has been high for a long time. Finally, the wait is over and the whole team is ecstatic to begin the journey in Trinidad. This trip has the capability of changing many lives in all different kinds of ways, as well as making our unity as a team grow closer every step along the way," Monteith said.
The team is being accommodated by TTFA technical director Anton Corneal whose facility has been a base for other visiting US College teams in the past. Lipscomb will play a series of training matches against local teams while in T&T.
Jones inspires young "Reggae" boy
National captain Kenwyne Jones is serving as an inspiration for Jamaican youngster Brian Brown, who made his international debut in the recent friendly international against T&T.
Brown, a former Rusea High school standout, was included in the Reggae Boyz team for the two matches and spoke about the experience of lining up against Jones when asked on his feelings of being in his country's national team.
"It was a great experience. It opened my eyes and has helped me to see what can happen when you work hard. I got the opportunity to play against an international striker like Kenwyne Jones, and I want to reach where he is, and for me to do that, I have to just keep on scoring and trying to get better and better every day," the 20-year-old Brown said.

Hislop: Argentina serious threat
Shaka Hislop believes Argentina will be the team to watch out for in next year's FIFA World Cup in Brazil. And he warns that with England not being looked at as a favourite could work in their favour.
Hislop was speaking last week as he gave his reactions to the Draw for the big event.
"Ordinarily, England come into a tournament with huge expectations, but this time, for the first time I can remember, expectations are lower and I think England could actually exceed them," Hislop said. "They may perform better playing without that added pressure."
However, he believes Argentina will want to defy the odds and Lionel Messi will want to prove he is the world's best player.
"Argentina will pose a serious threat. With arguably the best player on the planet you wonder if this is his World Cup to shine and be amongst the best ever. It's a good group for them but it's also the better half of the draw. It's set up very nicely for Argentina."
England are in Group D with Costa Rica, Uruguay and Italy while Argentina will be up against Nigeria, Bosnia and Iran in Group F.
Yorke talks about Villa job
He might be an ambassador for Manchester United at the moment and holding a similar position for T&T, but Dwight Yorke has hinted that he still intends to have some relationship with Aston Villa in the future.
The former Villa star spoke last week about his love for the club, saying he still holds the club "very close to his heart".
Yorke netted 60 goals in 169 Premier League appearances for Villa before signing for Manchester United in 1998.
The former T&T captain told the Express & Star: "One day, I will come back to manage the football club. That's how I feel. I have always believed that.
"My time at Villa got overshadowed in the eyes of some people because I went to Manchester United, but I know deep down that this is my club. It's the first result that I check for. I am more of a Villa fan than a Manchester United fan. Villa is very, very close to my heart."
Yorke continues to keep an eye on T&T football and has also indicated his desires to assist in the development of the local game.
