Goal-shoot Kalifa Mc Collin stepped up in the absence of former national standout Janelle Barker with 26 goals from 36 attempts to lead Game Changers to a fourth straight win, 35-30 over Police in the Premier Division of the Courts All Sectors Netball League on Saturday.
Playing in the final match of five on the day at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena Tacarigua, Game Changers also got seven goals from 15 attempts from Mc Collin's national team-mate Crystal-Ann George and Daystar Swift, two from three to overcome a 6-9 first quarter deficit.
For Police, another national stand-out Joelisa Cooper converted on 17 of 25 attempts and Janice Mc Intosh, 13 of 23 in the loss.
With the win, Game Changers improved to maximum eight points from four matches, two ahead of Fire Service which blazed UWI, 46-19.
Leading the way for Fire Service was Afeisha Noel with 29 goals from 39 attempts while the consistent Simone Morgan chipped in with 17 from 24.
Akeela Rodriguez was the lone UWI player in double-figure scoring with 11 goals from 26 attempts.
Meanwhile, Patrice Goring followed up her 52-goal performance for Police X with a 46 goals outing from 54 attempts in her team's 49-47 cooling of the previously unbeaten Fire Service in the Championship Division.
Veteran Beverly Hernandez added a valuable two goals from seven attempts, and Tricia Roberts, one from three in the win to join there opponents at the top of the table with ten points from six matches, but second on goal difference.
Aquila Blugh had the hot hand for Fire Service with 34 goals from 57 attempts and Ayanna Peters got ten from 24, but in the end it was not enough to maintain their 100 per cent winning record.
In the other Championship Division encounter, Kathy James continued her dominance with 37 goals from 53 attempts for Bermudez in its 45-30 thrashing of Police Y to stay third with eight points.
The experienced Joyclyn Marcelle added eight from 13 for Bermudez while Giselle Norton-Richards and Jiselle Navarro were the main contributors for Police X with 16 goals from 25 attempts and 12 from 18 respectively.
And in the Alternative Division, unbeaten leaders TSTT moved to within one win of the title after its 33-24 beating of Central Bank.
TSTT, winners of all eight of its matches to date was led by Chantell Perry's 16 goals from 27 attempts and Sophia Harper's 11 from 30.
