West Indies opener Adrian Barath hit an unbeaten half century to guide defending champion Queen's Park Cricket Club (QPCC) to a third successive win in the feature Group A National Sunday League fixture at Caldrac, yesterday.
The Parkites whipped Caldrac by six wickets as Barath struck seven boundaries in 61 to guide them to 151 for four in 31.4 overs.
National fast-bowler Shannon Gabriel took 4-17 to restrict Caldrac to 147 in 43.5 overs.
The Parkites remained unbeaten in the competition following earlier wins over Munroe Road and Merry Boys. Also among the runs was Justin Guillen (38) with whom Barath put on 63 runs.
In Group B action, PowerGen, the defending two-day national champion club, also recorded a third successive win, and in emphatic eight-wicket thrashing of Alescon Comets. An unbeaten 69 from Zuchurrie Ragoonath, together with a mesmerising 6-15 haul from Ancil Bhagan, inspired Comets victory.
