Disappointing day for Mohammed in Argentina
National junior badminton player Naim Mohammed was eliminated from both the boys singles under-19 and boys doubles U-19 categories yesterday, at the Argentina Junior Open tournament.
In the singles semifinals against Chilean Bastian Lizama, Mohammed suffered a close two-set loss, going down 19-21, 20-22. Mohammed and Llatos jumped out to an early lead, winning the first set 24-22. Their Chilean opponents Nikolas Ferruzola and Leon Ivan stormed back to win the next two sets, 21-18, 21-16.
