National junior badminton player Naim Mohammed was eliminated from both the boys singles under-19 and boys doubles U-19 categories yesterday, at the Argentina Junior Open tournament.
In the singles semifinals against Chilean Bastian Lizama, Mohammed suffered a close two-set loss, going down 19-21, 20-22.Later on, Mohammed had a chance to redeem himself with Peruvian partner Jose Guevara Llatos in the boys U-19 doubles semifinal.Unfortunately, the pair came out on the losing end in three sets.Mohammed and Llatos jumped out to an early lead, winning the first set 24-22.Their Chilean opponents Nikolas Ferruzola and Leon Ivan stormed back to win the next two sets, 21-18, 21-16.
