With league leader Club Sando's clash with Defence Force cancelled, Guaya United will make up its match in hand and will return to the top of the blink/bmobile National Super League standings today if the club takes full points away to relegation threatened FC Santa Rosa. The potential title and relegation decider will kick off at 4 pm, the same time as two other matches carded for this afternoon.A win will lift Guaya to the top of the standings with one round of matches remaining (next Sunday), by a solitary point over Club Sando.
Malabar is almost certainly out of the competition, leaving the top two teams to battle for their first ever Super League title.Regardless of a win or loss for Guaya, the league will go down to the wire.Next weekend, Guaya will take the trip South to the Palo Seco Velodrome, where it will face mid-table Siparia Spurs, while Club Sando will be favourite to take three points on the road to FC Santa Rosa.No verdict has been made on the fate of Defence Force, thus the three relegation spots remain open.
