Defending 50-over National Sunday League champions Queen's Park, will aim to maintain its perfect record today in a group A clash with Caldrac, at the latter's ground.Former national spin bowler Amit Jaggernauth starred for Queen's Park in the last round, taking 5/33 to lead the Parkites to a four-wicket win over Merry Boys.Also performing for the Parkites in the last round were left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein (3/18) and right-handed batsman Petrock Nicholas (59 not out). Caldrac is also coming off an impressive victory in the last round, getting past Esmeralda by 96 runs.In other group A matches, Seenath's Auto Bamboo will face current UWI T20 champs Merry Boys and Munroe Road will battle Esmeralda.
In group B, some of the giants in local cricket will meet. At the Wilson Road Recreation Ground, Clarke Road and Moosai will both look for two wins on the trot. Clarke Road defeated Alescon Comets by seven wickets last weekend, while Moosai outlasted Tableland by 39 runs.In another keen contest, Alescon Comets will face defending national league two-day champions Powergen at the latter's home ground. The other group B match will see Clico Preysal tackle Jenexcon Tableland at Inshan Ali Park.
