National water polo club Royhil Seals returned home recently from a successful trip, as Chad Rowley led the coed Under-14 team to a silver medal at the South Florida International Water Polo tournament.
Royhil, which has been competing in the tournament since 2003, never won a medal previously.
The coed U-14 team, captained by Jean Luc Hinds made it to the final to play Commerce, a club from California, USA. Unfortunately, Royhil went down 12-4 in the final.
Rowley finished the tournament with 25 goals, leading the club to its first ever medal in the tournament. In the earlier rounds Royhil had some convincing victories, including a 30-3 thrashing of Raiders.
Royhil also took an U-19 male, U-19 female and an U-16 male team to the Florida tournament. The U-19 male team finished ninth out of 16 teams, the U-19 female squad battled to a eleventh place finish among 12 teams and the U-16 males ended eleventh among 16 teams.
