First Citizens shares fall $0.43

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities, of which one advanced, three declined and nine traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 124,726 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $2,285,105.72. Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd was the volume leader with 54,143 shares changing hands for a value of $83,373.79, followed by First Citizens Bank Ltd with a volume of 25,259 shares being traded for $959,842.00. Sagicor Financial Corporation contributed 13,132 shares with a value of $98,490.00, while National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd added 10,000 shares valued at $11,800.00.

National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd enjoyed the day’s sole price increase, climbing $0.01 to end the day at $1.18. Conversely, First Citizens Bank Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.43 to close at $38.00. Clico Investment Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 8,679 shares valued at $187,007.41. Clico Investment Fund remained at $21.55. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.41. The Second Tier Market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company Ltd (suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings Ltd remained at $14.97.
