W Connection got off to a perfect start on Sunday, when the 2014 Youth Pro League season kicked off, with wins in each of the three division. W Connection opened with a 9-0 win over Police at the Under-14’s Division with a pair of goals each by Nikel Rawlins (16th and 33nd minutes), Jarelle Steadman (17th and 34th minutes) and Jevaughn Humphrey (40th and 41st minutes), while Kyjuan Sampson(23rd minute), Deneilson Benjamin (44th minute) and Christian Rasome (55th minute) picked up an item each for the Leonson Lewis coached-youngsters.

But at the under-16 age-group, the “Savonetta Youths,” coached by another former T&T international, Brian Williams, forward Anthony Herbert was the star of the day netting an impressive five goals (5th, 24th, 32nd, 40th and 55th minutes) while teammate Isaiah Hudson grabbed a double (53rd and 46th minute) in their 7-0 hammering of Police FC at the St James Barracks Ground, Western Main Road, St James. Then at the under-18’s/reserve level, the W Connection squad coached by former star players, Brazilian-born Jose Luis Seabra and former T&T captain Clyde Leon, secured a hard-fought 3-2 win against Police.

Martieon Watson opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 21st minute, and senior team player Mikaeel Jem Gordon doubled the advantage by the 37th minute, before Yafeu Rougier made it 3-0 a minute inside the second period. Police stormed back with goals by Andell Andrews and senior team player Christon Thomas in the 77th and 82nd minutes respectively, but were short of the equaliser. W Connection now leads the Under-14 and Under-16 standings after Round One Match Day One, while rivals San Juan Jabloteh stands at the top of the Under-18/Reserve table.
