Ibrahim and Nabeel Mohammed recovered from their marathon match on Sunday to ease past Timothy Davis and Brandon Gregoire in men's doubles round two action yesterday at the BG T&T Tranquillity Open tennis tournament at Victoria Avenue, Port-of-Spain.
The Mohammed brothers were pushed to the limit by Shaquille Bernard and Kristyan Valentine on Sunday in round one, but prevailed 6�4, 1�6, 18�16. Yesterday, the Mohammed duo defeated Davis and Gregoire 6�2, 6�1 to advance to the quarterfinal round.
On Sunday, sisters Olivia and Cristina Bennett easily advanced to the semifinal stage of the ladies doubles draw. Older sibling Olivia has been in fine form of late, winning the ladies singles title at the KCL Capital Money Market Brokers South Open tennis tournament last month. Olivia and Cristina defeated Shadelle Jackman and Osenyonye Nwokolo 6�0, 6�0 on Sunday
