Speaking about the event, sports personality Kelvin Nancoo said: "The walk is the only way that the children of the Port-of-Spain District can show the public how they feel about crime. They will have placards and I expect them to sing and chant and that is the most important thing for the children socially.
"The event is part of the curriculum and it will be a learning experience for them to interact with others. The walk against crime is a very important message to children all over T&T."
Nancoo added that the expected outcome was for the children to understand that through sport and culture, positive things can be done.
