National cyclist Njisane Phillip is returning to top form, winning the four-lap event for Elite one and two riders on Saturday at the T&T Cycling Federation track league five at the Arima Velodrome.
Njisane defeated Team DPS duo Quincy Alexander and Jude Codrington. In January, Njisane spent one week in a Los Angeles hospital for swollen kidneys and has been gradually getting back on his feet.
Track league five and six (yesterday) were the last chance for national cyclists to make the T&T team for the Southern Games, which pedals off on April 5.
