Although 29 extras were gifted to T&T by the Combined Colleges and Campuses (CCC) on the first half of the opening day in their four-day regional match at the Queen's Park Oval in Port-of-Spain, the match was evenly poised with T&T on 81/3 at press time.It was an indisciplined bowling effort from CCC, giving away 15 no balls, four wides, six leg byes and four byes. Barbadian fast bowler Dwayne Sealy was the main culprit, bowling 12 no balls and two wides. The home team unfortunately lost Evin Lewis due to a leg injury with the score on 13/0 after two overs. Adrian Barath's dismal season continued as he was dismissed for 12 by Raymon Reifer, leaving T&T on 43/1.
A shower then greeted the players forcing the umpires to take an early lunch at 4.45 pm, with Darren Bravo on eight and Jason Mohammed not off the mark.Reifer grabbed his second wicket shortly after lunch, as Bravo chopped a delivery onto his stumps for 10. Kieron Pollard, who recently returned to cricket after suffering a knee injury, emerged from the pavilion. Pollard looked determination to play himself in, but after facing 21 balls, Pollard was caught by wicket-keeper Chadwick Walton for a watchful four.Mohammed played his shots and was on 26 not out. Captain Rayad Emrit, who has shown some form with the bat in the tournament was on four. Left-arm fast bowler Raymon Reifer had figures of 6-2-14-2, while spin bowler Akeem Dewar got the wicket of Pollard.
