Steelbands to compete in football, all fours at comPANions 2014
The 2014 edition of ComPANions got started last Sunday evening at Curepe Scherzando pan yard, Curepe. More than 15 steelbands are competing in this year’s contest which includes football, cricket and All Fours.
Now in its 16th year, ComPANions is organised and produced by Denyse Hernandez of Neal & Massy Trinidad All Stars and Julie Williams of Republic Bank Exodus.
Today, at 7.45 pm, all the bands, except Couva Joylanders and Skiffle, will compete in the All Fours tournament, to be held at Renegades pan theatre on Charlotte Street, Port-of-Spain. The All Fours contest continues on Saturday at Starlift pan complex, at 7.30 pm. There will also be competition in the football tournament as well.
ComPANions 2014 will have its grand finale on Friday, May 30, at 10 am, at Constantine Park, Tunapuna.
