HILTON HEAD–Heavy rains late yesterday drenched the Habour Town Golf Links in South Carolina, ending the second round of the RBC Heritage golf tournament prematurely with T&T's Stephen Ames poised to miss the cut. With the line set at three-over, Ames found himself five-over par through four holes when the adverse weather arrived to end play at the US$5.8 tournament.
Play in the second round is scheduled to re-start this morning.South Korean KJ Choi, however, beat the rains to card a four-under par 67 and top the leaderboard at five-under overall. The rain may have been a blessing in disguise for Ames, however, who was struggling badly following an early afternoon tee time, bogeying the first, third and fourth holes.
