It was a disappointing day for the national junior tennis players yesterday in the qualifying stage of the ITF Junior circuit at the Eddie Taylor Public Courts, St Clair, Port-of-Spain.In boys singles Under-18 round two qualifying, all of the national players could not advance to the final stage of qualifying.The Americans proved too strong for the local juniors, as Brandon Gregoire, Ryan Thomas and Kristen Anthony all lost in straight sets to their American opponents.In a girls singles U-18 round one qualifier, Jenna Dean (USA) defeated T&T's Shauna Fitzwilliam 6-0, 6-0. The qualifying stage concludes today, while the main draw serves off tomorrow.
