Transparency International chairman Deryck Murray is expected to be on hand when Queen's Royal College stages its annual Memorial Match tomorrow at the College grounds in St Clair.
The match, dubbed the Shirvan Pragg Memorial match for the first 20 years of its existence, is played to commemorate all those stalwarts who, somehow involved in cricket at QRC in the post-Independence era, are now playing, coaching, umpiring or organising cricket on the other side.
In addition to Pragg, the former QRC and National Youth Team captain who was killed in a road accident in 1982, those remembered include coaches Randolph Bally, Rex Dewhurst and Dr Len Harbin and players Kirk Jhangoo, Ferdinand "Corey" Joseph, Steve Pillai and Glen "Zab" Richards.
The limited-overs game is carded to begin at 1pm and will pit a Moderns XI (post- 1985) against an Ancients XI (pre-1985). Interested old boys may register to be included on the starting 11 by calling (Ancients) Dave De Landro (789-0145), Zafar Khan (463-4728) or Valentino Singh (623-8870 X 2212-3) or (Moderns) Earl Best (749-9551), Ramesh Ramdeen (766-1909) or Irving Ward (754-8990).
