National spin bowler Akeal Hosein needed less than six overs yesterday to run through Jenexcon Tableland, handing Queen's Park a crushing 200-run win at the Queen's Park Oval in round seven of the Shanghai Construction Group National League.
Tableland, chasing 278 for victory, had no answers for Hosein, as the left-arm spinner ended with 6/21 in 5.5 overs to bundle Tableland out for 77 runs.
Al Small top scored with 17, while former national spinner Amit Jaggernauth took 3/8. Earlier, Queen's Park was dismissed for 145 in their second innings. Amir Khan took 4/23 to end with match figures of 8/68. Brent Harriot also caused problems for Queen's Park grabbing 4/49, while right-handed Daron Cruickshank was the best batsman, scoring 34.
At the Diego Martin Recreation Ground, Merry Boys maintained its position at the top of the table with a 59-run win over Esmeralda. Mario Belcon led the charge yesterday with a knock of 120.
