Jodi Ann Morgan struck 87 in the penultimate round to guide the Moosai Ladies to its third straight T&T Women's Cricket Association (TTWCA) 40-over league premiership title on April 13 at the Pinto Recreation Ground, Arima.
Morgan, who was Moosai's top scorer of the season, led Moosai to a 135-run win over Cricket Lovers to clinch the crown. Batting first, Moosai posted a competitive 213/4 in this 34-over contest. National player Kirbyina Alexander pitched in with 38, while Pauline Dufeal (1/28) and Desire Simon (1/16) took one wicket each for Cricket Lovers.
Cricket Lovers never got close to the target, as it was bundled out for 78 in 23.3 overs. Alexander finished with 2/11 in five overs and Karishma Ramharack grabbed 2/7 in three and a half overs. Nicole George showed some resilience, scoring 18.
Lee Ann Kirby and Kamara Ragoobar were Moosai's best bowlers in the competition, taking 13 and 12 wickets respectively.
Moosai ended the season with a win, defeating Technocrats by six runs in the last round.
Hibiscus won the championship (second) division to earn promotion into the premiership division next season.
