T&T hockey umpire gets indoor upgrade
T&T hockey umpires continue to excel on the international scene. Donny Gobinsingh, a sarjeant in the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, was recently promoted to the Indoor Grade I Promising List by the International Hockey Federation.
He is the first local umpire to achieve both FIH indoor and outdoor badges. Gobinsingh received news of his upgrade following the Pan American Indoor World Cup Qualifier last month in Montevideo, Uruguay, which he attended. Also in April, Ayanna McClean became only the second Grade I female outdoor umpire in T&T.
