Led by a 20-point haul from Valdez Perez, Pure Energy maintained its perfect record in the Tobago Basketball Zonal Commission's Allan Warner A Division recently, following a one-sided 75-46 victory over Tobago Glass Supplies Les Coteaux Ball Players, at Shaw Park.
Big-Four action is now assured for Pure Energy, which secured its fifth consecutive win with one match to play in the league table. Despite the heavy loss, Jerron Gillman had a massive outing for Les Coteaux scoring 33 points, almost three-quarters of his team's entire tally.
Les Coteaux, also suffered a heavy defeat not long before, falling 89-65 to Barcode Barrack Boyz. Barrack Boys currently sits behind Pure Energy in the standings, while Hill Bouncers, which cruised past Airport Authority in its last fixture, sits third. Les Coteaux and Pure Players and in deep battle for the fourth spot required for a place in the Big-Four.
In B Division action, 5ers currently leads the standing, while Goodwood and Parks International Crime Stoppers trail in second and third, respectively.
