South-East pair of Avinash Mahabirsingh and Brandon Singh proved too strong for South-West yesterday, leading their team to an easy 268-run win in round three of the BG T&T Under-15 two-day Interzone tournament at the Sancho Recreation Ground, Princes Town.
Spin bowler Mahabirsingh ended with match figures of 8/29, while Singh struck 36 in the first innings and 102 in the second.
At Shaw Park, Tobago, East stormed its way into the semifinals, as Kirstan Kallicharan continued his top form. Kallicharan, who struck 102 on Tuesday, grabbed five wickets for six runs with his leg spin to lead his team to an innings win over Tobago. North also advanced to the semifinals from Group B.
