Karishma Ramharack snatched 4/15 yesterday for the Moosai Ladies at Macaulay Park, California, to guide the team to a narrow seven-run win over Technocrats in the semifinal of the T&T Women's Cricket Association (TTWCA) 30-over tournament.Ramharack's spell helped reduce Technocrats to 103 all out in 26.2 overs, chasing 111 for victory. Kamara Ragoobar (2/15) and national player Kirbyina Alexander (2/21) were also destructive taking two wickets apiece. Barbadian and West Indies Women's player Shaquana Quintyne top scored with 24 for Technocrats.
Earlier, Chadean Nation was the best batter for Moosai scoring 28. Bowling for Technocrats, spinner Gaitri Seetahal was the pick of the bowlers for Technocrats, grabbing 3/11.
At the Coryal Recreation Ground, Phoenix also booked a spot in today's final, after defeating Cricket Lovers by 39 runs. Batting first, Britney Cooper struck 30 to lead Phoenix to a competitive 135/8. Shenelle Henry contributed 26, while Melanie Henry pitched in with 18.Lord (3/16) and Henry (3/13) returned to take three wickets each to dismiss Cricket Lovers for 96 in 21.5 overs. Natalie Ninah made a valiant 27 for Cricket Lovers. The final will be played today at 12 noon at UWI, St Augustine.
