The HCL Trincity Cricket League recently ended their two tournaments, the Sonny Rampersad Two Evening Competition and the HCL Sunday 30 overs competition, in a very successful manner.They will be hosting their presentation awards on November 25 at the HCL hall in Tacarigua. The Sonny Rampersad Two Evening Competition comprised five teams namely Prisons Cricket Club, Canefarm Sports Club, Buggy Haynes Coaching School, PYO Sports Club and Triumph Sports Club.It was a very difficult competition with Prisons Cricket Club and Triumph Sports Club contesting the final. Triumph batted first and made 210/6 in 20 overs with Aaron "Buju" Alfred getting 72 runs; Kemal Mohammed 36; Terrence Hinds 25; Keon Issac 22, while the best bowler for Prisons was Dennis Sammy 1/19.
When it was Prisons turn to bat the next day they could only muster 159/7 in their 20 overs, thanks to Dane Sennon with 44 and Dennis Sammy 29, while the pick of Triumph bowlers was their captain Damien Peters with 2/23 and Terrence Hinds with 2/27. Triumph winning by 51 runs, with Aaron Alfred getting the Man of the Match for his 72 runs. While the HCL Sunday 30 overs League consisted of seven teams: El Dorado Superstars, SWAT, Lawyers, GVSO, PYO, Tacarigua Recruits and Triumph Sports Club. The final was between Tacarigua Recruits and Triumph Sports Club.Tacarigua Recruits batted first and made 173/7 in their 30 overs with Dale Pran making 61 and Michael Harry 39.
