Raffa House to benefit from TTCA Golf Classic
Raffa House will benefit from the T&T Contractors Association (TTCA) sixth annual Coral Cup Classic Golf tournament today and tomorrow at Millennium Lakes Golf & Country Club, Trincity. TTCA aims to promote networking among its local and regional partners, and also raise funds for non-profit organizations within T&T. The charity identified to benefit from this year’s event is Raffa House. This Non-Governmental Organisation comprises two facilities located in Curepe and Tacarigua which houses and cares for abandoned and abused girls and boys. Those under their care are provided with wholesome food, medical care, educational assistance and important life skills training.
The tournament will be contested by 50 teams of two golfers from throughout the Caribbean and the USA, who will vie for 10 pairs of attractive prizes. The tournament format will be “Two ball better ball,” utilizing players’ full handicaps. Competition will tee off at 10 am today and 11 am tomorrow. A major feature of the prize-giving ceremony is an auction of a bat autographed by the most formidable opening partnership in Test Cricket history, Desmond Haynes and Gordon Greenidge. The public is invited to the auction and can contact 681- 9864 to receive invitations.
