National junior cyclist Kollyn St George won her second silver medal and broke another national junior and elite record at the Junior Pan American Cycling Championships in Aguascalientes, Mexico, on Monday.
St George grabbed silver in the 500-metre time trial event, stopping the clock in 36.150 seconds. St George also broke the national junior and elite record for her effort.
Another national cyclist Keiana Lester, finished fifth overall in a time of 37.14.
On Sunday, the T&T duo won silver and broke the national junior and elite records in the women's team sprint.
Winning gold in the sprint was the Mexican pair of Yuli Paola Verdugo and Mariana Valadez, while Colombian duo Luisa Fernanda Parra and Valentina Ocampo took bronze.
Also on Monday, Akil Campbell the third member of the national junior team, ended seventh overall in the junior men's scratch race.
On Tuesday night, Lester advanced to the semifinals of the individual sprint to face Ocampo. The pair squared off last night for a spot in the final. St George ended seventh overall in the event after finishing third in the 5-8 final.
Yesterday, Campbell continued his aim for a medal in the omnium event. Campbell broke the tape in one minute, 5.762 seconds in the 1km time trial and currently lies fifth overall in the omnium.
Last night Campbell continued to compete in the omnium, lining up in the flying lap and the points race.
