The Chicago-born Asque, who has played professionally in Cyprus and Denmark tallied 12 points, ten of which were spikes while her sister, Gillian Asque got six, and the trio of Lecia Brown, Karenza Beckford and Renae Temple, four apiece in the 77 minute win.
The Jamaicans, yet to capture the title after second placed finishes in 1996 and 2004, held the edge in spikes 26-20 and service aces, 4-2 while both teams were even on blocks with seven each.
However, Bahamas added to its own downfall, by committing 38 errors to 22 from the Jamaicans, now with a 2-0 record and maximum ten points, the same as host and four-time defending champions Trinidad and Tobago, which it meets on Thursday from 8 pm.
For the Bahamians, Melinda Bastian had a team best eight points while Chryse Bain and Tia Charlow added four points each.
Today, Barbados, record six-time champions Barbados (1993, 1994, 1995, 2002 and 2002) meet Suriname frtom 2 pm while T&T "Calypso Spikers," winners in 1996, 2006, 20008, 2010 and 2012 tackle Bahamas at 8 pm.
