Central Trinidad Touring Team emerged Champions in the inaugural year of the Mangalie's Trading PVC Ceiling, National Over forty T20 cricket tournament, in memory of Ramsahai Mangalie against Green Arrow at Pierre Road in Charlieville.
Winning the toss and batting first, Green Arrow was retricted to 106 for seven. Donald Sabala was carved out 27, while Amardeo Lutchman grabbed two for 13 and A Jordan two for 15.
CTTT was in early trouble at 29 for two but Suruj Ragoonath–63 not out–and Captain Rajendra Mangalie–27 not out–belted the bowling to win in the 14th over at 109 for two.
Earlier, the President of the Trinidad & Tobago Cricket Board Azim Basrrath, the Deputy Mayor of Chagunas, National coach Augustin Logie and Shanti Mangalie (wife of the late Ramsahai) met the players.
Bassarath in his address praised the organising committee for a job well done and encouraged other organisations to take note.
He also mentioned it is his wish to support all clubs financially in 2015 once they received their outstanding balance from the Sportt Company of T&T (SPORTT).
In the earlier game Preysal Sports clinched 3rd Place when they defeated Tableland United by 131 runs.
