Glen Campbell, a supporter of the senior women's national team was among two persons who won a T&T team T-shirt signed by midfield standout Ahkeela Mollon, when her agent company The Brazil Link (TBL) Sports ran a promotion along with Trotters Restaurant and The Fan Club.
The T-shirts bearing her name and number was printed by Sportway Limited, supplier of national team kits and presented at Trotters, Maraval Road, following the T&T's goalless draw away to Ecuador in the first leg of a 2015 Fifa Women's World Cup intercontinental playoff, on Saturday.
Campbell, one of two winners, submitted an entry form at half time in Trotters, during T&T's final match at the Concacaf Women's Championship, in the US, where it placed fourth after a loss to Mexico in extra-time two weeks ago.
The initiative was conducted by TBL Sports, which signed Mollon earlier this year.
"After we signed Mollon, she was then contracted to a club in Sweden and we worked on improving and preserving her image," said Narada Wilson, TBL Sports Executive.
Mollon, who has been one of the most influential players for the national team since re-joining after three years, prior to the Concacaf Women's Championship, has attracted interest from a number of top flight clubs in the US, as well as in Sweden and Japan.
Her contract with her last club in Sweden ended last month after a blistering season loaded with goals, assists and MVP awards.
According to Wilson, TBL Sports approached both Trotters and The Fan Club about the promotion during the Concacaf World Cup qualifying campaign in an effort to promote both Mollon's image and that of the national women's team on the whole.
On hand to make the presentation were The Brazil Link's managing director, Cy Padmore and T&T Football Association (TTFA) general secretary, Sheldon Phillips.
Along with its signing of Mollon earlier this year, TBL Sports has acquired the rights of a number of other high profile athletes.
Yohance Marshall secure a regular spot in the senior men's national team and both Zane Coker and Miguel Romeo both return to the TT Pro League.
