Many of the na­tion­al crick­eters are show­ing form ahead of the Nagi­co Su­per50 tour­na­ment in­clud­ing Evin Lewis and Rayad Em­rit, as T&T played an­oth­er prac­tice match on Sun­day at the Queen's Park Oval, Port-of-Spain.

Play­ing for T&T Team A, Lewis slammed an un­beat­en 90, while cap­tain Em­rit took 5/28 (eight overs) to lead the team to an easy eight-wick­et win over T&T Team B.

Team B was dis­missed for a mod­est 175 in 39 overs bat­ting first, as Em­rit, Im­ran Khan (2/19) and Ja­son Mo­hammed (2/14) all caused prob­lems for the Team B bats­men. Kevon Coop­er top scored with 45 from 49 balls, while Yan­nic Cari­ah pitched in with 41.

In re­ply, Lewis showed his usu­al ag­gres­sion in his 77-ball knock, lash­ing six fours and five six­es. Af­ter los­ing Nicholas Sookdeosingh for 17, Lewis and Dar­ren Bra­vo shared in a 128-run sec­ond wick­et part­ner­ship which set up the vic­to­ry for Team A.

Bra­vo struck 62 off 60 balls, hit­ting four fours and three six­es. Af­ter Bra­vo lost his wick­et with the score on 174, Je­re­my Solozano came in and struck a four to fin­ish off the match.

The Nagi­co Su­per50 be­gins on Thurs­day, but T&T will face West In­dies Un­der-19 on Fri­day at Shaw Park, To­ba­go in its open­er.
