Goalshoot Sophia Harper scored 28 of her 39 attempts as TSTT whipped Prisons 41-22 to cement second spot in the Alternative Division of the Courts All Sectors Netball League on Thursday for a second year running behind champions, University of T&T.
Goalattack duo, Chantael Perry with 11 from 18 and Fallon Jeffery two from two, added the other goals for TSTT which was always in control of the contest and led 13-7, 20-10 and 31-14 at the end of the first three quarters at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena, Tacarigua.
LaVaughn O'Neil netted 16 from 33 for Prisons in the loss, its seventh.
With the win, its seventh from ten matches, TSTT ended with 14 points, six behind UTT wich tallied maximum 20 points.
Newcomers, Fideas finished third ahead of University of Southern Caribbean based on a better goal-difference after both teams ended with a 4-1-5 record for nine points, two more than Prisons.
And in the Championship Division, former national youth team duo, Aquila Blugh (29/45) and Nariba Grant (20/31) combined to elad Fire Serice past Police Y, 49- 32 to move into second with eight point, six adrift of champions Police X, with two and one match left to play respectively. Today, Police will try and defend its Courts Open Knockout title it won last year by beating Fire Service from 1 pm.
