Local boxing fans will be treated to five boxing bouts and three MMA fights when Unifiers Promotor's Boxing Association stages its first Professional card for 2015 at the Jean Pierre Sports Complex tonight. The first bell is at 8 pm. The night's programme will feature two women and three men contests.
At the Weigh-in ceremony at the Alicia's Palace, St Ann's, Dwane Hinds and his opponent Kenneth "Ironman" Bishop got into a war words in which they promised to put each other down in the MMA bout on fight night.
Also at the weigh-in, Mikaela Lauren had an issue when her opponent Celia rosa Sierra weighed in at 157lbs, but Sierra quickly stripped down the her underwear and made the weight as the two two seems ready for their undercard battle.
Amanda Potts (promoter) of Unified Promoters Boxing Association is appealing to the boxing fans to come out and support the card which promises to very exciting from the first bell.
A lucky fan will walk away with a 50-inch Smart TV which is at stake as the night's door prize. The prize has been sponsored by Hazena's Home & Garden.
The card is sanctioned by the Trinidad and Tobago Boxing Board of Control and supported by Ma Pau Members, Club, Hazeena's Home and Garden, Fair Chance Racing Service and Alicia's Palace, Caribbean Airlines, Tourism Development Company, Bouncy Land, Trini Street Scene and ET&T Magazine.
