National junior cyclists Teniel Campbell and Keiana Lester narrowly missed out medals, finishing fourth in their respective events on the closing day of the Junior Pan American Cycling Championships in Aguascalientes, Mexico, on Friday.Lester, competing in the women's keirin final, finished behind Chilean Daniela Colilef (gold), Mexican Mariana Valades (silver) and Colombian Lorena Espinal (bronze). It was Lester's second fourth place finish of the Games, missing out on a medal in the women's 500m time trial.
Campbell was in contention of winning a medal throughout the six-event women's omnium, but unfortunately had to settle for fourth position.T&T ended the meet with four medals, winning two gold medals and two bronze medals.
Kollyn St George was the standout cyclist for T&T at the Games, winning gold in the women's 500m time trial and gold in the women's team sprint event with Lester. Grabbing bronze medals for T&T were Sei Daniel (men's keirin) and Tyler Cole (men's omnium). T&T also walked away with two new Pan American records, eight national records and 14 personal bests in the high altitude city.
