Hundi is napped to finally gain winning brackets in the 3-y-o Maiden Fillies' Stakes over seven furlongs of genuine 'good to soft' Chester this afternoon when the three-day 'Cup' fixture concludes; on the time-handicap this Fastnet Rock is clear 'best-in!'Six previous efforts have yielded four placings and the best mark achieved was at Newmarket last September, ridden by Jim Crowley, back on this time because Jamie Spencer rides elsewhere.
Charles Hills was obviously vexed when Hundi failed to take seize and excellent opportunity over a similar distance at Newmarket last month and the form of 'Faringdon Place' stables has left a lot to be desired this past week or two. We're on a 'wing and a prayer' backing thoroughbreds from stables under a cloud but Hundi simply wont get a better chance.
Charles' father, Barry, saddles Nafaqa for the listed Dee Stakes over an extended ten furlongs and but for Paul Hanagan riding I'd be going 'double-nap' on this consistent, progressive colt.Hanagan has been moderate to say the least, I've got little or no confidence he'll 'get job done reet' but, presumably, Hills will leave him in doubt as to the need for positive tactics.
Don't misunderstand my sentiments about trainers/jockeys, this is NOT guessing game but a serious business with 'ard earned money at stake.
