Owner Baskaran Bassawh can be the toast of Santa Rosa Park on Saturday - Indian Arrival Day–at the Carib Brewery sponsored Day of Racing in Arima.
Bassawh has the overwhelming favourite in the two feature events, the second leg of local racing's "Triple Crown" the Midsummer Classic and the Grade Two - Carib Arima Race Club Cup over 1,800 metres.
Bassawh will have the War Maker in the Carib Brewery Limited Midsummer Classic to be run over 1,900 metres with a purse of $450,000 and Nobel Abrego has little more than arm-chair ride to take the $270,000 first prize cheque.
In the supporting "big race," the $150,000 Carib Arima Race Club Cup will see two-time Horse of The Year, Bigman In Town, throwing down the gauntlet to eight rivals which include the improving Thisoneisforron.
When entries were taken a total of 109 horse took entry for the ten race card.
Post time for the first event is at noon.
