National junior players Che Andrews and Anya King will defend their Under-16 titles when the Tennis Patrons Association host the Lease Operators Junior Tennis tournament at the Trinidad Country Club in Maraval, from 9am today until Monday.
Boys and girls will compete in the Under-10, U-12, U-14, U-16 and U-18 categories. One hundred and twenty five players including ten from Tobago will participate.
In the boys Under-16 final last year Andrews defeated Kobe James 7-5, 6-3, while King captured the girls U-16 singles title with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Candice Cook.
Other top seeds expected to challenge for titles include Victoria Koylass (girls U-14), Solange Skeene (girls U-14), Aidan Carter (boys U-16), Nabeel Mohammed (boys U-18) and Emma Rose Trestrail (girls U-18).
