Qaysar to beat Crack On Crack On (again!) in division two of a Novice Stakes over seven furlongs of Kempton polytrack tonight. It’s the Match of the Day and just a pity one of them wasn’t declared for the first leg!
How often this happens, so vexing to lose two winning prospects and then trying to determine which is the best betting proposition. In that respect, this is difficult to solve because their profiles smack of above average juveniles which will aspire next year. Both are trained in hugely successful yards and strongly fancied!
Once-raced, Richard Hannon- trained, Qaysar is preferred, judged on a creditable length second to Key Victory over a similar distance on good ground Newmarket last month. Subsequent unchallenged winner, Massaar, was half a length away; it’s strong, reliable, potential classic form.
Hannon’s charge can be expected to improve, Crack On Crack On certainly did when a further three lengths away in fifth and rates a ‘professional special each-way proposition.
Price-wise that is the best way to approach this race, Qaysar will probably be a hot favourite, Crack On Crack On is bound to be at least 5/1 and three places are on offer.
To exploit the situation we advise an each-way double, once-raced Classic Charm played into Crack On Crack On but Qaysar will be my win selection.
Canimar is one of fourteen decs for the Novice Median Auction Stakes over a mile, fourth two-year-old race in succession on this Wednesday- nighter!
Ed Dunlop has booked positive Joe Fanning and so expect Canimar to right among the action throughout; on the TH his chance is comparable to any and this could be third time lucky.
