With un­beat­en lead­ers De­fence Force not in ac­tion un­til Sun­day, MIC Cen­tral FC Re­boot will have a chance to trim their lead at the top of the 12-team 2024/2025 T&T Pre­mier Foot­ball League (TTPFL) Tier I stand­ing when they meet fifth-placed Mis­cel­la­neous Po­lice FC Fri­day (Jan­u­ary 31) night.

The clash be­tween Cen­tral FC, joint sec­ond on the ta­ble with de­fend­ing cham­pi­on AC Port-of-Spain with 18 points from eight match­es each, six be­hind De­fence Force, and Po­lice kicks off at 8 pm at the Phase II Recre­ation Ground, La Hor­quet­ta.

Cen­tral FC will en­ter the clash on the back of a 4-0 trounc­ing of Point Fortin Civic a week ago at the same venue while the Law­men, who have 13 points, are com­ing off a come-from-be­hind 4-1 spank­ing of Cale­do­nia AIA led by a sec­ond-half brace Ka­reem "Scoo­by" Fre­itas, set­ting the stage for an in­ter­est­ing match-up.

Two hours ear­li­er, La Hor­quet­ta Rangers and FC Ea­gles will face off in the open­ing match of Round Nine with the host club, tenth on the stand­ings go­ing af­ter a third win against the cel­lar-placed Ea­gles FC, who have picked up one win so far this sea­son.

On Sat­ur­day, the ac­tion shifts to the Ari­ma Mu­nic­i­pal Sta­di­um with Point Fortin Civic meet­ing Club San­do FC at 5 pm, fol­lowed by Prison Ser­vice FC and Cale­do­nia AIA two hours lat­er.

On Sun­day, at the Ken Cooke Ground, St James Po­lice Bar­racks, Port-of-Spain, De­fence Force Elite goes af­ter a ninth straight win to start the sea­son against 1976 FC Phoenix in the 5 pm kick-off while the youth­ful San Juan Jabloteh meets AC Port-of-Spain two hours lat­er.
