Plans for the launch of the Penal Sports Association's 2010 cricket season are well advanced, with Massahood Youth Organisation (MYO) of Avocat, beaming with confidence, as they prepare to defend their Under 19 Champions title.
During the last season, of the eleven matches they played, MYO remained undefeated, walking away with the GPR � Quality Electrical Challenge Shield and a cash prize of $5,000. Two of their players with outstanding performances last year are, again qualified by age to represent the club � Ijaz Ali who had the most wickets (32) in the competition, and Vicky Oudit who scored the most runs (563) in the competition.
A total of $10,000 in cash prizes are at stake in this year's Under 19 competitions which is expected to bowl off on February 21. Clubs wishing to participate can contact Leo Doodnath at 346-3636. Registration Forms are available at Unique Books & Sports Centre.
