Plans for the launch of the Pe­nal Sports As­so­ci­a­tion's 2010 crick­et sea­son are well ad­vanced, with Mas­sa­hood Youth Or­gan­i­sa­tion (MYO) of Av­o­cat, beam­ing with con­fi­dence, as they pre­pare to de­fend their Un­der 19 Cham­pi­ons ti­tle.

Dur­ing the last sea­son, of the eleven match­es they played, MYO re­mained un­de­feat­ed, walk­ing away with the GPR � Qual­i­ty Elec­tri­cal Chal­lenge Shield and a cash prize of $5,000. Two of their play­ers with out­stand­ing per­for­mances last year are, again qual­i­fied by age to rep­re­sent the club � Ijaz Ali who had the most wick­ets (32) in the com­pe­ti­tion, and Vicky Ou­dit who scored the most runs (563) in the com­pe­ti­tion.

A to­tal of $10,000 in cash prizes are at stake in this year's Un­der 19 com­pe­ti­tions which is ex­pect­ed to bowl off on Feb­ru­ary 21. Clubs wish­ing to par­tic­i­pate can con­tact Leo Dood­nath at 346-3636. Reg­is­tra­tion Forms are avail­able at Unique Books & Sports Cen­tre.
