Keon Cumming netted a double to help Organs capture the Open Division "Big Eight" title in the Tyro Sports Club Seven-a-Side Football League.
Cumming's winning performance saw Organs defeat Future, 3-1 in the final on Saturday at Gabba grounds, Lower Santa Cruz to take home the $3,000 first-place prize along with the Challenge trophy and a replica.
His teammate Sterling O'Brien scored the other item for the winner while Simeon Bailey put in the lone item for the runners-up, which received $1,000 and a trophy. In third place was Zessers was third and collected $500 along with a trophy in the awards ceremony which followed soon after the final matches.
At the function, Future despite its second-place finish picked most of the top individual awards. Ronaldo Jaggasar was recognised as the "Most Valuable Player", the
"Best Defender" prize went to Simeon Bailey and its custodian Shane Sirjoo won the "Best Goal-keeper" award.
The prize for "Most goals" went to Warren Straker of Sweaters, who netted 13 and the "Best Manager" was Cassius George of Zessers, which was the Group A winner in the preliminary round. Sweater topped Group B.
Earlier in the Uncle Beddoe's Supermarket/Hardware 45 and Over Division "Big Eight" finale, Kendell Velox scored a pair of goals and Sucky Emmrali, the other to take Friends to a comfortable 3-0 victory over St Francois Nationals.
Friends claimed the $3,500, Challenge trophy and replica and its players dominated the prize-giving ceremony with Velox being awarded both the MVP and "Most Goals" prizes. He led with 16 goals. His teammate Sherwin Sinnette was the best goal-keeper and Lisa Alexander was the top manager.
For their second-place finish, St Francois Nationals got $1,000 and a trophy and third place Tornadoes received $500 and a trophy.
