Just For Fun (JFF) Vikings moved to the top of the A Di­vi­sion ta­ble af­ter de­feat­ing de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons E-Z Lines 6-4 in an­oth­er close­ly con­test­ed en­counter as the Trinidad and To­ba­go Darts As­so­ci­a­tion's (TT­DA) Na­tion­al Mick­ey Mouse League of Darts pro­duced an­oth­er night of dra­ma on Tues­day at the Kos­mos Club in Port-of-Spain. Match day two brought ma­jor changes to the stand­ings.

The teams were locked at 2-2 af­ter the open­ing two blocks, be­fore James Walk­lin put E-Z Lines ahead 3-2 with a sin­gles vic­to­ry.

How­ev­er, the Vikings re­spond­ed im­me­di­ate­ly, with new ac­qui­si­tion Mikhael Achong lev­el­ling the con­test be­fore Kim­ber­li Ri­vas, cap­tain Michael Ri­vas and David Flook pushed the Vikings in­to a com­mand­ing 6-3 lead. E-Z Lines man­aged to win the fi­nal team game, but it was not enough to pre­vent their first de­feat of the cam­paign. The reign­ing cham­pi­ons slipped to third, while the Vikings took over first place.

Drifters moved in­to sec­ond af­ter de­feat­ing Flight­ed Friends 6-4, while the biggest sur­prise of the night came from new­ly pro­mot­ed Game Shot, who fought back from a 4-1 deficit to hold De Orig­i­nal Game Shot (DOGS) to a thrilling 5-5 draw. DOGS ap­peared firm­ly in con­trol ear­ly, but Game Shot pro­duced an im­pres­sive come­back to earn a valu­able point. The re­sult leaves DOGS at the bot­tom of the ta­ble af­ter two rounds, while Game Shot sit fifth.

In the B Di­vi­sion, Scor­pi­ons con­tin­ued their im­pres­sive start with a dom­i­nant 8-2 de­mo­li­tion of Shang­hai Bulls. Scor­pi­ons raced in­to a 6-0 lead be­fore the Bulls man­aged two sin­gles vic­to­ries, but the dam­age had al­ready been done. The vic­to­ry keeps Scor­pi­ons at the top and fur­ther strength­ens their pro­mo­tion and ti­tle am­bi­tions, while Shang­hai Bulls drop to the bot­tom. JFF Snipers bounced back from their open­ing-day de­feat with a 7-3 vic­to­ry over West­er­ly Pi­rates. The Snipers led 5-1 be­fore Pi­rates threat­ened a come­back by win­ning three con­sec­u­tive sin­gles. Ken­wyn Quash of Snipers stead­ied the ship with a cru­cial vic­to­ry be­fore the Snipers se­cured the fi­nal team game to seal their first win of the sea­son.

New­ly pro­mot­ed Reck­less and re­cent­ly rel­e­gat­ed Triple Vi­sion bat­tled to a 5-5 draw, with Triple Vi­sion win­ning the team game to en­sure both teams shared the spoils.

Bul­lz I con­tin­ued their dom­i­nance in the C Di­vi­sion, de­feat­ing Top Shot 8-2 to main­tain their per­fect start. Bul­lz I raced to a 7-0 lead be­fore Bran­don Lu­cas and Arel Jod­han pre­vent­ed a clean sweep with sin­gles vic­to­ries. Bul­lz I, how­ev­er, closed out the match by win­ning the fi­nal team game and now hold a three-point lead at the top. Shoot­ers were held to a sur­pris­ing 5-5 draw by QPCC Howz-Dart, who pro­duced one of the di­vi­sion's biggest re­sults of the night. Howz-Dart took an ear­ly 3-1 lead be­fore Shoot­ers fought back to lev­el at 3-3.

Vic­to­ries by Ash­lee Alon­zo and George Rowe re­stored Howz-Dart's ad­van­tage and left them just one win away from vic­to­ry at 5-3. Shoot­ers, how­ev­er, showed their qual­i­ty un­der pres­sure, win­ning the fi­nal two games to sal­vage a point. Shoot­ers re­main sec­ond, while QPCC Howz-Dart sit in fourth and are en­joy­ing their best start to a league cam­paign. Sea Wolves al­so strength­ened their pro­mo­tion hopes with an im­pres­sive 8-2 vic­to­ry over Bull­dogs.

The league con­tin­ues with match day three this com­ing Tues­day (Sep­tem­ber 8) at 8 pm at the Kos­mos Club. In the A Di­vi­sion, league lead­ers Just For Fun Vikings face new­ly pro­mot­ed Game Shot, while Scor­pi­ons will look to ex­tend their lead at the top of the B Di­vi­sion when they take on Reck­less.

The C Di­vi­sion will fea­ture a cru­cial clash be­tween Bul­lz I and an in-form Shoot­ers side, with the re­sult po­ten­tial­ly hav­ing a ma­jor im­pact on the pro­mo­tion race.
