For­mer win­ners and ear­ly lead­ers of the bmo­bile Na­tion­al Su­per League, WASA will seek its third straight win to start the sea­son when it en­ter­tains St Fran­cois Na­tion­als at WASA Ground, St Joseph to­day from 4 pm. The "Wa­ter Boys" have start­ed the sea­son very im­pres­sive­ly with a 3-1 win over M&M Har­vard fol­lowed by a 5-1 thrash­ing of Stoke­ly Vale for max­i­mum six points. How­ev­er, St Fran­cois has al­so kicked off its sea­son in style, first hold­ing de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons, bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic to a 0-0 draw fol­lowed by a 2-1 win over 1976 FC Phoenix set­ting the stage for an in­trigu­ing con­test this af­ter­noon af­ter the league took a one week break last week.

In two oth­er in­ter­est­ing match-ups, un­beat­en teams, T&TEC and De­fence Force square off at Guaracara Park, Point-a-Pierre while neigh­bours, Queen's Park and Har­vard lock horns at the Queen's Park Oval. Stoke­ly Vale wel­comes Club San­do to its Shaw Park Ground and Phoenix, the sec­ond To­ba­go Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion team in the com­pe­ti­tion will host Val­trin FC at Canaan Ground, Bon Ac­cord. Joe Pub­lic is on a bye. This year's league win­ners in the 11-club tour­na­ment will col­lect $125,000, the run­ner-up $75,000 and third $40,000.
