Former winners and early leaders of the bmobile National Super League, WASA will seek its third straight win to start the season when it entertains St Francois Nationals at WASA Ground, St Joseph today from 4 pm. The "Water Boys" have started the season very impressively with a 3-1 win over M&M Harvard followed by a 5-1 thrashing of Stokely Vale for maximum six points. However, St Francois has also kicked off its season in style, first holding defending champions, bmobile Joe Public to a 0-0 draw followed by a 2-1 win over 1976 FC Phoenix setting the stage for an intriguing contest this afternoon after the league took a one week break last week.
In two other interesting match-ups, unbeaten teams, T&TEC and Defence Force square off at Guaracara Park, Point-a-Pierre while neighbours, Queen's Park and Harvard lock horns at the Queen's Park Oval. Stokely Vale welcomes Club Sando to its Shaw Park Ground and Phoenix, the second Tobago Football Association team in the competition will host Valtrin FC at Canaan Ground, Bon Accord. Joe Public is on a bye. This year's league winners in the 11-club tournament will collect $125,000, the runner-up $75,000 and third $40,000.
